After years exploring, researching and creating contemporary art as well as experimenting with old and new techniques, a new look gradually emerged whereby images are broken down into simpler shapes and colours.

'Geometric Impressionism' sort of sums it up. Curves are converted into straight lines and areas of colour into geometric shapes (as shown in the detail).

Currently I am some way through creating a collection of paintings based on the River Thames - and in particular the water of the River Thames - its power, its moods, its colours and movement are a never ending source of fascination.

And this new look gives flowing water much more drama, movement and power.

The aim is to have the collection of up to 16 paintings ready for exhibition mid 2021.
