Native to the African savannah, the Baobab is a beautiful and distinctive tree growing up to 25 metres high and supported by a massive root system to see it through any drought.

It is truly a tree of life - animals eat the leaves, people eat the fruit and make clothes from the fibrous parts.

And their hollow trunks provide protection in bad weather.

This work tries to show what a dominant effect they have on the landscape.
